Visits to the Hamburg retirement and nursing homes are only possible after submitting a negative corona test. Five new test centers for relatives and visitors will open in Hamburg on Tuesday.
Before visiting retirement and nursing homes, relatives and friends must have themselves tested. From Tuesday there will be a total of five contact points in the city. According to the health authorities, around two thirds of the retirement and nursing homes test their visitors themselves. However, an appointment must usually be made beforehand.
Test directly in the car at Heiligengeistfeld
If not, it can be done in one of the city’s test centers: For example, on the Heiligengeistfeld at the cathedral guard, there is the possibility of being tested directly in the car while driving past. Centers have also been set up in Altona, Harburg and Wandsbek.
Registration through the care facilities
Relatives and friends of residents in the facilities receive information on this. The prerequisite for a free rapid test is a receipt from the institution you want to visit.
Negative corona test valid for two days
This means that an appointment can be made at one of the test centers – it is not possible to stop by spontaneously. The negative test result is then valid for two days – visits are possible during that time.
