coronavirus vaccination continues in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

They are among the very first people vaccinated in France. Two patients from the Champmaillot nursing home and a professor in geriatrics from the Dijon University Hospital received the vaccine against the coronavirus this Sunday. The vaccination campaign has only just started and phase 1 will last for several weeks.

During this first phase, they are nursing home residents and professionals who are at risk of developing a serious form of the disease and who work in establishments which accommodate elderly people who will be vaccinated as a priority. The objective in France is to reach one million people vaccinated by the month of February. In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, near 40,000 elderly people reside in different types of establishments private or public.

After the symbolic launch of the vaccination campaign in Dijon, around twenty voluntary establishments of the 450 that the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region will administer vaccines from the beginning of January specifies the Regional Health Agency (ARS). The coronavirus vaccine requires a second dose 21 days after the first injection.
