The driver of a car was injured after colliding with a house, when he was driving at high speed on San Lorenzo Avenue, in the San José neighborhood.
It was around 5:30 p.m. this Sunday, when a white Mustang car circulates through the busy avenue heading east and when approaching Granado Street, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and in this way the car crashed head-on against the gate of a house located on that corner.
Due to the strong blow, the gate was knocked down while the car ended up completely destroyed, leaving the driver trapped inside.
The car was driven by 21-year-old Juan Mauricio, who was rescued by the Red Cross paramedics for his transfer to the Military Hospital; In order to remove it from the car, the body had to be chopped up with hydraulic pliers.
Red Cross paramedics assist the injured driver by using the “jaws of life” to rescue him after being crushed. He is transferred to the Regional Military Hospital
