Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, head of the Health Care Authority of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System and Assistant Minister of Health for Supervision and Follow-up Affairs, confirmed that the system is being worked in full swing to achieve, develop and raise the efficiency of hospitals, centers and health units of the new system in Luxor in accordance with the system’s control and quality standards.
Al-Sobky told Al-Youm Al-Sabea that work is underway to finish the equipment for the infrastructure of these medical facilities in the governorate, by providing them with computers and tablets, and all the electronic equipment necessary for rehabilitation, carrying out electronic registration work, and automating the medical service to start the trial operation of the new system in the governorate soon. .
Al-Sobky added that 59 centers, a family medicine health unit and 7 hospitals will be included in the new system in Luxor, of which 20 centers, a health unit, and 4 hospitals will operate within the trial operation phase of the new system in the governorate during the coming period, pointing out that the cost of the project in the governorate amounts to 9.625 billion pounds, including The cost of infrastructure, medical and non-medical equipment and the cost of operating for a period of 3 months, in addition to the ongoing registration and comprehensive medical examination processes for citizens in the system in Luxor, where more than 800 thousand citizens have been registered so far in the governorate to benefit from the services of the new system as soon as it is operational, i.e. equivalent to registering more than 57% of the total population of the governorate in the system before its operation, which is a positive indication of confidence in the system and the success of its implementation in Port Said Governorate.
