Limoges has its first reinforcement for next season. The pivot of Nîmes Nicolas Nieto is committed for two years with the promoted.
For a first season in the elite, Limoges made an idyllic start to the race with a fourth place at the break. Enough to see the future calmly and start preparing for next season with the first signings. Just before the change of year, the LH formalized the signing of Nicolas Nieto. The 26-year-old pivot, trained in Dunkirk, has been evolving since 2018 with theUSAM Nimes, club with which he competes in Europe over the last two years. The one who is also junior world champion in 2015 with the France team is a recruit of choice for the Limougeauds, who thus send a strong signal on the continuation of their project. “It’s really a project to which I joined, during the first contacts the feeling passed immediately, whether it was with the President, the Sporting Director and the coach”, explains the future limougeaud pivot in the LH press release. The start of the promoted season has convinced the newcomer, author of 20 league goals since the start of the season. “It’s always difficult for a promoted to start his championship, but Limoges has shown what it takes to succeed in this first part of the season, he declares. The fighting spirit of the collective suits me, it comforts me, it’s a logical choice, which sticks to me. ” Nieto has initialed a two-year contract with LH. In Tarik Hayatoune’s squad, he will find players he has known in Dunkirk and Nîmes such as Jérémy Suty, Micke Brasseleur and Julian Emonet.
