Turkey claims to have inflicted 20 casualties on Kurdish militias in northern Syria | World | America Edition

The Turkish Defense Ministry has claimed on Monday to have caused twenty casualties to Kurdish militias People’s Defense Units (YPG) in northeast Syria, in a strip that Turkey controls since it launched the operation “Fountain of Peace” in autumn 2019.

“In a successful intervention, our commandos have neutralized 20 PKK / YPG terrorists who were trying to infiltrate from the south into the region” delimited by the “Fountain of Peace” operation, the Ministry indicated in a message posted on the social network Twitter.
