As you know, the conditions weather have worsened over almost all of Italy due to the effects of a strong atmospheric perturbation associated with a deep low pressure area, the minimum of which on the northern Adriatic it reached 978 hPa.
And here it is once again, a low pressure of exceptional flow reaches Italy.
Over a period of about fifty years, the return time of similar low pressures was a few years, while for about two, these are much more frequent, and cause exceptional bad weather.

The snow has fallen abundantly over almost all of Northern Italy, with the exception of the eastern part of Emilia and all of Romagna.
The snow has fallen from Valle d’Aosta to Friuli. Heavy snow has affected Lombardy and Trentino. It is currently snowing in the Central-Eastern Alps and Pre-Alps.
In the meantime, after the Libeccio, colder air will come, but we will not have an impending frost wave, however the snow that has fallen over much of the Northern Italy will have the opportunity to freeze in the next few hours. And it will be above all the ice to create many problems for road traffic, and nevertheless also for pedestrians.
Be Milan 15 to 20 cm of snow fell, in the metropolitan area north of the city the snow reaches 30 cm, as in Brianza, while in the first hills near the Prealps it goes up to 40 cm. The temperature is subzero everywhere.
Ben more modest snowfall on Turin where it did not exceed 5 cm in thickness, but left a winter touch.
A splash of snow also affected Genoa, but not throughout the city. Snowfall is much more abundant in the upper districts, as well as all the hills and mountains of the region.
A heavy snowfall also occurred in the western part of Emilia, as well as in southern Lombardy. Pavia, Lodi, Piacenza, Cremona, Parma were whitewashed by a heavy snowfall.
Great snow even in reliefs of Veneto, while this morning the snow fell copiously in the plains up to about 10 cm. A brief sprinkle of snow occurred also in Venice, where it then turned into rain under the very strong sirocco wind that was decidedly milder.
Heavy snow also occurred on the mountainous part of Friuli, as well as on the Trentino and South Tyrol oriental, the low quote del Veneto.
In the rest of Italy there is bad weather, and the disturbance is generating precipitation in the form of downpour, while thunderstorms are also reported.
In many areas of Italy the protagonist is the wind that blows very strong, spurred by that low pressure of exceptional flow which in these hours has formed near the coasts between Veneto and Friuli.
In the next 24 hours, the area of low pressure associated with the perturbation will rapidly move eastwards, and more cold air will reach Italy.
A possible change in weather conditions could occur between Friday and Saturday, when a new perturbation will pass that could bring more snow, especially to the northwest.
We remind you that weather forecasts with a validity of up to 5 days have greater reliability than longer-term ones.
