Strange Game Boy peripheral found after 28 years

Time passes and the discoveries in the world of video games do not stop. After 28 years, of all the success and importance of the Game Boy, a peripheral was released that turned the portable console into a small computer.

The Did You Know Gaming? Portal, dedicated to finding this type of curiosity, showed the world the Work Boy, a keyboard that was connected to the Game Boy and made the console a computer that surely was not in anyone’s head.

This platform, in which Tetris and later games like Pokémon became very famous, mysteriously had a menu of various options typical of a computer or what today would have a basic cell phone, such as: calculator, clock, contact book, thermometer, measurement converter and other functions.

This Work Boy could also serve as a controller to play, because in addition to having a usual keyboard, with letters, numbers, space bar and others, it had arrows in all four directions.

Although surely at this moment it is something curious after 28 years, surely the success of this peripheral could be greater, taking into account the time in which it was created, turning the Game Boy into a portable minicomputer.
