“Kingsman 3”, spin-off, series & much more: The series continues that crazy – Kino News

Kingsman: The Secret Service kicked off a mega franchise that was just getting started. In addition to various theatrical offshoots, a TV series is also in the works – but first comes the prequel “The King’s Man”.

With “Kingsman: The Secret Service”, director Matthew Vaughn (“Kick-Ass”) not only picked up comic book enthusiasts, but also agent film fans – which was ultimately reflected in the success of the film and its sequel “Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle ”reflected. So it is hardly surprising that the British super agents are still a long way from obsolete.

But before we get to see “Kingsman 3”, which has not yet been released in theaters and with which the story of Harry (Colin Firth) and his protégé Eggsy (Taron Egerton), it will go back a good 100 years in three months in history – with the Prequel “The King’s Man: The Beginning”, which hits theaters on March 11, 2021.

How did the Kingsmen come to be the legendary super organization that is responsible for law and order in the world today? How did the agent force come about? It is precisely these questions that “The King’s Man”, set in the First World War, is supposed to answer.

The young Conrad (Harris Dickinson) is introduced to the mysterious world of espionage by the Duke of Oxford (Ralph Fiennes) – and is involved in a deep-reaching conspiracy that could bring the world to ruin. Lee Unwin (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a direct ancestor of Eggsy, who will follow in his footsteps a century later, will also play a decisive role …

In “The Golden Circle” we already got to know the so-called Statesman, the US faction of the organization (played by Channing Tatum and Pedro Pascal, among others), who will also get their own film.

But a “statesman” spin-off is far from over: Just recently, writer and director Matthew Vaughn revealed that seven (!) More films are currently being worked on in the “Kingsman” universewith which the agent universe should be expanded in different directions. Whether all of these will ultimately be implemented will probably depend on the success of the upcoming prequel.

It has also been known for a long time that the Kingsmen’s cinema adventures will soon be supplemented by a “Kingsman” series. However, there are no further details so far.
