Aneesh’s family told MediaOne that they were trying to trap Aneesh who was killed in Tenkurisi, Palakkad in a fake case. Aneesh’s wife Haritha’s family sent a lawyer’s notice alleging dowry. Haritha’s grandfather is the mastermind behind the murder. Aneesh’s mother Radha said that Haritha would be protected and the accused should be given the death penalty.
Prabhu Kumar, father of wife Haritha, and uncle Suresh were arrested yesterday in connection with Aneesh’s murder. The case has been handed over to the District Crime Branch by the Palakkad District Collector.

The family had earlier said that Aneesh had been threatened before. Haritha’s uncle came to the house and threatened Aneesh with a knife. He came home, threatened her and took her phone away. Aneesh’s father Arumughan and brother Arun had said that they had lodged a complaint with the police but no action was taken. Aneesh was stabbed with a sword. Aneesh’s brother Arun added that he also tried to cut himself.
Aneesh, a native of Elamandam, was killed by his wife’s father and uncle for marrying her lover. The murder took place at around 6.30 pm on Friday. Aneesh and his brother, who went to the shop on a bike, were hacked by their wife Haritha’s father Prabhu Kumar and uncle Suresh. Aneesh died on the way to the hospital. Haritha and Aneesh fell in love and got married three months ago.
