If you have connected the Huawei Watch GT 2 to your smartphone, it can still happen that new incoming WhatsApp notifications are not displayed on the smartwatch.
If you cannot receive WhatsApp notifications on your Huawei Watch GT 2, this is usually not a big problem, but can usually be fixed quickly with our solution. Because the reason for this is mostly due to the settings of the “Health” app. In the following, we would like to tell you how you can receive WhatsApp messages on your Huawei Watch GT 2.
Activate notifications for WhatsApp in the Health app
1. Open the “Health” app on the smartphone that is connected to the Huawei Watch GT 2.
2. Now select “Devices” in the lower menu ribbon and then your Smartwatch.
3. In the “Miscellaneous” section, select the “Notifications” entry.
4. Now activate the controller on WhatsApp so that information will be displayed on the Huawei Watch GT 2 when new WhatsApp messages are received.
If this setting has already been set or has not led to the desired success, then use our second workaround.
Activate notification access for the Huawei “Health” app
Open the Android system settings on the smartphone on which the Health app is installed.
Then navigate to “Apps” and then look for the “Health” app. Select this and then go to “Permissions” in the next menu. Now check that the authorizations are allowed as shown in the following screenshot.
After the authorizations have been set, restart the smartphone.
You should now receive WhatsApp notifications on your Huawei Watch GT 2 without further ado.
Do not try to fix that. This watch will never show Whatsapp, Messenger and other apps notifications. And you will never find the answer why because Huawei will not telling you. If you want theese apps to show notifications do not use an Huawei phone. Is not that pretty well? What? Huawei phones do not show notifications of the most important apps in the world on this watch? Yes … unforunately yes. Use an Samsung phone and will work.
