Teruyuki Toriyama recently announced on Twitter that he will leave Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan later this year. The producer thanked the fans for their support and added that he plans to continue producing games:
“I will leave SIE JAPAN Studio at the end of December. I would like to thank all the users who have supported JAPAN Studio so far! In my new company, I will continue the challenges of creating new games. That is why I am asking you for support again. “
As a producer, Toriyama participated in Souls Sacrifice, in 2015 in Bloodborne, and his latest work is a remake of Demon’s Souls or ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission.

He did not mention the reason for Toriyama’s departure in his contribution, but this is the departure of SIE JAPAN several times in a short time. Sony recently left Keiichiro Toyama, whom you may know as the creator of Silent Hill, Gravity Rush or Siren. The Last Guardian producer Kazunobu Sato and the main designer of Gravity Rush Junya Okura also left with him. The trio founded their own studio Bokeh Game Studio, which allegedly works on a horror game.
