Moby presents his most recent experimentation in ambient music, with this album, Live Ambient Improvised Recordings Volume 1.
And writes:
“When the pandemic started – was that 20 years ago? – I found a lot of calm and comfort in making calm ambient music just for myself. So I thought it might be an interesting project to document myself doing these ambient pieces. I set a rule for myself; they all had to be improvised, without rehearsing or writing pieces beforehand. Now I am going to release the album of these impromptu live ambient recordings, as I know that many of us are isolated and struggling during the holidays. “
And announces:
“Also, on December 30 on Twitch, I’ll be talking to Dan Levitin, the author of” this is your brain on music, “and Dr. Connie Tomaino, director of the institute for music and neurological function. We will talk about music therapy and how music is a proven healing modality. We will also answer questions and play music and videos from my improvised live ambient recordings. “
And finally:
“Before the Twitch broadcast, I will be releasing some live videos for each track on my social media channels. I hope that you will somehow find calm and comfort in what is an incredibly difficult and challenging time.
Thanks and hope to see you later!

Last spring (or summer..what month is it now?) i set up dj equipment in my bedroom, put on an adult persons suit, and did a dj mix of most of the tracks from ‘all visible objects’.
And now we’ve released it in audio only – listen here: https://t.co/E3BvW3Uxcb pic.twitter.com/0M5owfOA44
