The Brussels West police had already seized there at the beginning of the month a hundred kilos of fireworks for a total value of 15,000 euros.

Three other warehouses belonging to the same “wholesaler” were raided by the police. The man was selling his merchandise via the Snapchat social network. The trafficker had already been caught with a hundred kilograms of fireworks earlier this month. He was then deprived of his liberty and placed at the disposal of an examining magistrate.
“At the three sites in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, we found flares of all possible sizes, shapes and colors. This time, not only ordinary flares were found, but also pyrotechnic equipment for professional use, given the risk they pose. Again, the explosives were stored in poor conditions in a residential area ”, explains the Brussels West police to La Capitale.
“With this second take, a total of 170 kg of fireworks were confiscated from the illegal wholesaler, which could have been used on New Year’s Eve”, she says again.
As a reminder, the sale and use of fireworks is totally prohibited on the territory of the Brussels-Capital Region. During these festivals, anyone who possesses it will be punished.
