Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Authority, said that the comprehensive health insurance system will be implemented in 4 new governorates after the success of the system in Port Said, indicating that the governorates are South Sinai, Aswan, Luxor and Ismailia.

Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance and head of the “Comprehensive Health Insurance”, confirmed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is fulfilling the Egyptians’ dream of establishing integrated health care pillars for all family members through the implementation of the National Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, which was officially launched from Port Said last year. Noting that President El-Sisi follows up every big and small, in the comprehensive health insurance project, and always stresses the need to provide the necessary guarantees for the sustainability of the financial solvency of this system; This makes it flexible enough to keep pace with any changes and ensures its continuation with high efficiency, in a way that contributes to reforming the health sector in Egypt, according to the latest international systems and standards, and protects citizens from financial risks and psychological burdens resulting from disease, and reduces poverty rates.
