MADRID, 24 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Brazil has registered 961 new deaths from coronavirus this Wednesday in a day in which the Minister of Health, Eduardo Pazuello, has affirmed that, despite the fact that the date is “variable”, in the “best of cases” vaccination will begin starting January 20.

In a more pessimistic scenario, Pazuello estimates that the vaccination date could be delayed until the end of February, according to Agencia Brasil.

The minister has indicated that the country is prepared to launch a vaccination campaign throughout the country at the time they receive the vaccines and that it will be voluntary.

One of the candidate vaccines, the Chinese Coronavac project, has completed its trials with an effectiveness greater than 50 percent, although the exact percentage will be determined in a few weeks when the results of different patients are homologated, the governor of Sao Paulo has announced. Joao Doria.

The vaccine would be produced in a facility in the country belonging to the Butanan Institute and the governor assures that the state he directs will have 10.8 million vaccines available by the end of the year according to the UOL news portal.

COPACABANA CLOSED AT THE END OF THE YEAR
