A few months ago, a fast food stall KFC made a scene for announcing konsol gaming to compete PlayStation 5. Who would have thought, the announcement wasn’t a joke and KFC actually produced gaming consoles.
The existence of this console was announced directly by the Twitter account @kfcgaming. Intel representative Mark Walton also tweeted this announcement to reassure gamers that this was not a hoax.
The console is called KFConsole which was developed by KFC with Cooler Master. Cooler Master did not reveal the details of the specifications, but they said the console is powered by an Intel NUC 9 processor, Asus RTX graphics card and 1 TB NVMe SSD from Seagate.
This console also has advanced features such as support for virtual reality and ray tracing. Cooler Master says KFConsole offers up to 240 fps of gameplay for all games with support for 240Hz output on 4K displays.
“KFConsole has arrived,” wrote Cooler Master on his official website, as quoted from Cnet, Wednesday (23/12/2020).
“Forged from the fire of a KFC oven and made by Cooler Master from scratch, there’s no better way to enjoy the latest games in stunning 4K, 240 fps,” he continued.
But there is one main feature of KFConsole that sets it apart from the PS5 or Xbox Series X. Console it has a Chicken Chamber or a special room in it to keep fried chicken warm even when you are left playing games.
This fried chicken warmer is part of the console cooling system. The heat generated by the components will then flow to the Chicken Chamber, so that the components can stay cold and the fried chicken remains warm.
This design features a very tight seal so that the oil from the fried chicken does not seep through the walls and damage the console components.
“Taking advantage of the natural heat system and airflow system, you can now focus on playing the game and enjoying the hot and crispy fried chicken between rounds,” explained Cooler Master.
KFC originally planned to launch the console on November 12, but was forced to postpone it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Not yet known when gamers can buy console this and whether this will be a limited exclusive product or not.
This is not the first time KFC has entered the world of gaming. In 2019, they launched a simulation game called I Love You Colonel Sanders Dating Simulator Game on Steam. They also invite gamers to build KFC restaurants in Minecraft and share them on social media.
