According to this, the Chinese first division team Guangzhou R&F, the club of ex-national player Mousa Dembélé, is interested in Ivan Leko.
Before the game against Charleroi on Sunday, Leko confirmed the lucrative offer from the Far East: “There is indeed interest from China (…) If we had lost against Waasland-Beveren on Sunday, I might have been fired. Now we’ve won and I’m a good coach again. Will I sit on the bench on Sunday? I still have a contract here. When I signed, the goal was to stay four or five years. But: I can’t say what will happen tomorrow … ”
Should Ivan Leko actually disembark, FC Antwerp could already have a successor in Marc Wilmots. (mn)
