The elected representatives of Valderiès met in municipal council. After the approval of the minutes of the previous council, various points were discussed. The most important was that of the municipal budget. After having detailed the current deficit state of the latter, the mayor gave information on the report of the Regional Chamber of Accounts, on the various meetings and exchanges held between the town hall, the prefecture, the treasury and the bank. During these various meetings, an analysis was carried out and all the actors noted the difficulties encountered.
A loan over 20 years
To deal with the deficit, a solution was adopted and validated by the prefecture. It consists of taking out a long-term loan (20 years) in the amount of € 300,000. This financial contribution will make it possible to pay two short-term loans that cannot be spread over time, one of € 150,000 payable due on December 31, 2020, the other of € 370,000 payable on September 1, 2021. It will also allow avoid a new deficit of more than 10% (maximum authorized by the general code of local authorities) on future administrative accounts. Indeed, successive deficits would generate a new referral to the Regional Chamber of Accounts with the consequence of a probable increase in taxation. This loan realization proposal was unanimously adopted as was the amending decision to enter this additional credit in the budget for the 2020 financial year. Then, the mayor was authorized to sign the agreement for the network of media libraries which has been updated. Regarding the sale of old children’s games, the members of the council have decided to communicate the details on the municipal bulletin which will be distributed at the beginning of the year 2021.
