Compensation for military service
In its meeting on Monday, the municipal council unanimously approved the statutes on the compensation of the honorary members of the Zell volunteer fire brigade. As was already presented at the November meeting, this involves compensation for work, for example, as well as for training and further education. The statutes come into effect retrospectively on January 1, 2019, so that over-planned expenses for the years 2019 (92 assignments) and 2020 (previously 92 assignments) amounting to a total of 33,472 euros must be taken into account in the budget.
Fees increased
The council unanimously decided to adjust the kindergarten fees for the half-day group to around 80 percent of the V fees (extended opening hours). As the head of the office Karlheinz Keller explained, the fees have so far been 61 percent of the V fees. However, this is not sufficient to be able to map personnel costs and fixed building costs, so an adjustment is essential. However, the adjustment will be stretched over two years. Specifically, the half-day fee will be increased from January 1, 2021 for the first child from 78 to 90 euros and for the second child from 43 to 50 euros.
Loan for own businesses
Loans for investments are required for own operations. The municipal council approved the borrowing for 2020 for the municipal utilities’ own operation in the amount of 129,000 euros. This sum is needed for the water supply in the districts and for the Pfaffenberg spring catchment. A loan of 112,000 euros for the Brennet weir rain overflow basin was approved for the waste water disposal company.
