After the incumbent Andreas Meier left in September 2020, a successor had to be elected from the center of the council. The deal was put on the agenda twice, but nevertheless there was no one who wanted to stand for election, writes the local council in a message. The third time, Mato Matosevic (Independent for Niedergösgen), a council member was appointed vice-president.
This is possible according to Paragraph 115 of the Municipal Act. For community president Roberto Aletti it was important that a council member take over the vice presidency, which had been in office longer than he himself. The bank employee Mato Matosevic (36) will hold the office for the remainder of the current term of office.
