Real Madrid has beaten Sporting de Huelva (0-1) in the match corresponding to matchday 13 of the Primera Iberdrola played at La Orden.
The only goal of the match was scored by Sweden’s Sofía Jakobsson on the edge of halftime. The three points, very suffered, serve Real Madrid to finish the year in second position.
Sporting de Huelva entered the game somewhat more plugged in than Real Madrid and had several occasions in the first minutes but the white defense and Misa avoided the local goal.
Patri Ojeda and Yoko Tanaka brought danger to Misa’s goal in the first 20 minutes, although their chances ran into the Madrid goalkeeper.
For its part, Real Madrid had their first chance in the 10th minute with a shot from Ari that went wide. The 17-year-old striker had one of the clearest chances in her boots but was unable to direct the ball to the goal defended by Chelsea.
Sporting de Huelva continued to dominate and generate chances until half an hour into the game. From there, Real Madrid took a step forward and took control.
In the closing stages, the Madrid team forced Chelsea to work hard. The local goalkeeper stopped two shots from Real Madrid, one of them very dangerous from Jakobsson.
However, Chelsea couldn’t stop Real Madrid’s third shot on goal. Jakobsson tried his luck with a powerful shot from outside the area that poisoned itself after touching Kristina Fisher and opened the scoring.
The second part started the same as the first. Sporting de Huelva went on the attack and had the first chances. Pau and Patri Ojeda sought to surprise Misa from afar but the first shot went wide and the second ended up in the hands of the Canarian goalkeeper.
Real Madrid took a step back and opted to defend themselves well against an overturned Sporting de Huelva who tirelessly sought the tying goal.
The Whites, as the minutes passed, found themselves more comfortable defending as Sporting de Huelva was in a rush to draw and began to make inaccuracies.
In the second half, David Aznar’s girls did not create danger for Sporting de Huelva. White gave up the attack so as not to leave any gap behind and maintain the result in a complicated field such as The Order.
In the last minutes, Mayra Ramírez, Jenni Morillas and Kanteh enjoyed three clear opportunities to score a point but they failed to pierce Misa’s goal.
