Customs – Freiburg im Breisgau – Virtual choir wants to spread the Christmas spirit – culture

Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Singing Christmas carols together will largely be canceled this year due to the corona pandemic. A virtual choir project should at least create some replacement. 300 singers from the Archdiocese of Freiburg – including Freiburg’s Lord Mayor Martin Horn (independent) – sang the song “O you happy”, as the archdiocese announced on Tuesday. The recordings have been mixed together and will be released online as a five-part choir on Christmas Eve. The project shows that Christmas brings people together – even in times when distance has to be maintained, it said.
