How to disable or hide retweets from a Twitter account?

Twitter allows easily disable the display of retweets for an account within its news feed. If you are interested in tweets and general posts, but not necessarily retweets, then the social network offers an ideal option to hide repost.

Go to the profile of the people you follow or who appear by affinity in your current news, then click the options icon (in the form of three horizontal dots “∙∙∙“). All you have to do is click on the option “Disable retweets”. Easy as pie, right?

Here is an example with the Twitter account of Emmanuel Macron, the option would allow to follow only the official publications of the account, and not the retweets coming from other sources.

In itself, disabling retweets is interesting, but it would seem more appropriate that Twitter created an equivalent option to disable mentions and replies from a Twitter account. So far, you can turn off or hide pretty much any info on Twitter, but in a trickle fashion. It would be nice to be able to turn off all replies from an account (without hiding regular tweets). You might as well admit it, a lot of accounts chat all day worse than if they were at a bar counter, and that’s not necessarily interesting or fun to follow, where tweets and posts sometimes are.
