Dec.22 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended lower on Tuesday, due to profit taking after two months of strong gains as investors worried about the potential impact on global growth of the discovery of a new variant of the coronavirus in the United Kingdom.
The Nikkei index lost 1.04% to 26,436.39 points and the larger Topix lost 1.62% to 1,760.04 points.
