Euro NCAP has just released the results of its crash tests. This year you have analyzed 11 models, what is the safest car of 2020?

The coronavirus pandemic has affected all levels of society and also, as we see daily, the automotive world. But we are not talking only about factories that produce less or decrease in sales … but also to car safety.
And it is that the independent agency for the evaluation of the safety of cars in Europe, Euro NCAP, has also suffered Covid-19 in its meats and has reduced its activity this year. Typically, Euro NCAP crash tests more than fifty models annually; this 2020 only 11 cars were tested.
11 models analyzed in 2020, 55 in 2019
Precisely, this exercise introduced new tests that they increased the severity of the crash tests, all in pursuit of achieving greater vehicle safety. Thus, crash tests with a moving, frontal and lateral obstacle were launched, replacing the classic test of a deformable obstacle due to moderate displacement.
At the same time, the assessment of the driving assistance systems and the autonomous reaction capacity of the vehicle, something that has benefited Volkswagen ID.3, leader in this classification.
Of the 11 vehicles analyzed this year, 9 have achieved five stars, while another two, The Honda and the Hyundai i10, had to settle for four and three stars, respectively.
