For this reason, it cannot be excluded that the Italian authorities, while waiting to decide on the stop to flights from London and perhaps also from Amsterdam (two of the most important hubs in the world), will also make a swab check on all passengers mandatory. arriving.
At the moment, according to the rules in force since December 3, as for other countries, even those arriving from the United Kingdom are required to have a swab – rapid or molecular – but it is not mandatory and alternatively it is possible to go into fiduciary quarantine. As there is no monitoring, however, no one can guarantee that passengers comply with this latter rule.
The issue complicates even more the containment forecast during the Christmas holidays, because the risk of spreading the new viral strain is imposed in the days of the return exodus, when hundreds of children domiciled in England return to their families. From tomorrow, if there are no new probable restrictions, only those who reside in Italy or those who have to move for reasons of necessity, health and work will be able to do so.
