A young man, aged 20, was arrested for the crime of raping a minor. The victim is a 13-year-old teenager who lives in the Primero de Mayo area, south of Cochabamba.
The departmental director of the Special Force to Fight Violence (FELCV), Rubén Lobatón, reported that the teenager met her attacker on Facebook. They had been chatting through that social network since April and since then she has gained her trust and convinced her to maintain a romantic relationship.

According to investigations, the young man took the minor home and sexually assaulted her. The victim’s father learned that his daughter was experiencing sexual violence in August.
The Ombudsman for Children and the police are investigating the case.
