A short victory. On the night of Friday to Saturday, as part of the NBA preseason, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns, by a small point (114-113). However, during the first three quarters, it was their opponents who took the lead, even seeing their lead climb to +21, on two occasions. A first time in the first quarter (39-18), then a second, in the second quarter (67-46). Little by little, the reigning champions have therefore made up their mark, under the impetus in particular of Anthony Davis (35 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists). From the start of the last quarter, the Lakers have therefore taken matters into their own hands. And even if, at the very end of this period, the Suns are then passed again, a last basket two points from their opponents has thus definitively sealed the outcome of this meeting. The franchise of Los Angeles thus avoids a first defeat during this preparation and therefore makes the pass of four, in as many games played.
Williamson turns off the Bucks
Third warm-up game and third loss for the Bucks. On the night of Friday to Saturday, as part of the NBA preseason, Milwaukee, deprived of its star Giannis Antetokounmpo, lost against the New Orleans Pelicans (127-113). The Bucks came across a particularly fit Zion Williamson who ended up as the top scorer in his franchise. (31 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists). However, during the third quarter, Khris Middleton had allowed his family to return to the front, after having climbed 20 points. Finally, the Bucks were unable to resist and it was Williamson’s partners who therefore had the last word. On the side of Tampa, defending vice-champion, the Miami Heat defeated the 2019 champion, namely the Toronto Raptors (117-105), with in particular a double-double from Precious Achiuwa (13 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists).
Durant goes on against the Celtics
We don’t stop Kevin Durant anymore. On the night of Friday to Saturday, as part of the NBA preseason, the player finished top scorer in his franchise (25 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists). In addition, he obviously played a big part in the Brooklyn Nets’ victory over the Boston Celtics. In this meeting, Brooklyn point guard Kyrie Irving also played against his old Boston franchise. The player even finished with particularly correct statistics (17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists). A match which also allowed Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot to show himself (7 points (3/5 on shots, 1/2 to 3pts and 0/0 on free throws), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 faults, 0 interception, 3 lost balls and 1 against in 11 minutes of play).
