Clevershuttle threatens to end in four cities

Berlin (energate) – Deutsche Bahn is apparently planning massive cost-cutting measures at the ride pooling company Clevershuttle. Of the total of 1,100 jobs, 850 are to be eliminated. The four locations Berlin, Munich, Dresden and Kiel are threatened with closure, only the two cities Düsseldorf and Leipzig are to be served. The “Manager Magazin” reported with reference to corporate groups. Deutsche Bahn is the majority owner of the start-up. The group supports the further development of Clevershuttle, announced the railway on energate request. “For this purpose, talks are held with our partners on site, after which we will discuss further decisions with Clevershuttle,” said a spokeswoman.

Should this make adjustments necessary, the railway will make the employees of the transport service employment offers. “So far, no final decisions have been made,” it said. About half a year ago Clevershuttle stopped operating in Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and Stuttgart (energate reported), then later started operations in Düsseldorf and founded a joint venture with the local public utilities (energate reported). / as
