For small and medium-sized businesses, rent reduction of up to 50% for 6 months
(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Yeon-jeong = Hana Financial Group announced on the 20th that it has decided to participate in the’Good Landlord Movement’, such as exempting or reducing rental fees for tenants of buildings owned by Hana Bank and other affiliated companies.
Small business owners who are leased in buildings owned by Hana Bank and other affiliates of Hana Financial Group are fully exempted from monthly rent for six months starting from the following month, and SMEs are entitled to a maximum of 50% reduction in monthly rent for six months.
This measure takes into account the fact that small business owners and small and medium-sized enterprises, which have become difficult to operate their workplaces due to the re-proliferation of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), are suffering double hardships as they have to pay a fixed rent every month.
In March, Hana Financial Group provided a full lease exemption for small business owners and SMEs in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and a 30% lease exemption for other regions.
