The love story between Simone Inzaghi and the Lazio it really seems to have come to an end. The biancoceleste team, fresh from a draw against Benevento, is the protagonist of a really complicated start to the season in the league. Qualification for the round of 16 of Champions League it was obviously received with great satisfaction. The results so far have been fluctuating but the real problem at Lazio – according to what filters from the capital – would be the relationship between Inzaghi and the president Claudio Lotito. A relationship that cracked in the post lockdown and now seems to have reached historic lows.

Inzaghi’s future is therefore really hanging by a thread; the coach is seriously considering leaving at the end of the season. The final decision could come shortly: Lotito – as reported by Il Messaggero – would, in fact, be ready to propose a new contract until 2022, practically at the same figures currently received. A sort of provocation that could lead to a definitive break.

In the future of Inzaghi, however, there could still be Italy. His name, in fact, was made for after Antonio Conte and continues to be observed by the Juventus. But everything will depend on how he behaves, from now to the end of the season, Pirlo.
