This week, the Bishopric of Rancagua in a document signed by the Apostolic Administrator of Rancagua, Juan Ignacio González, informed of the new pastoral destinations in the diocese of Rancagua.
The changes were communicated to the interior of the church by means of an internal circular dated December 17 and in it the will of the priests was appreciated, who along with accepting would have exposed their availability to take on the new tasks.
“After a process of dialogue and discernment, the only purpose of which is the best care of the People of God that has been entrusted to all of us, of filial exchange with those interested, with various consultations with the council of deans, the parish priests and with the unanimous opinion of the Governing Council of the Diocese, new pastoral destinations have been determined for some brother priests, ”the Apostolic Administrator of Rancagua, Juan Ignacio González, stated in the letter.
The document informs that parish priests and administrators will take canonical possession of their new pastoral assignments and assignments after the celebration of Holy Week in 2021, adding that if it is necessary to advance the process “in some case, for reasons of better pastoral service, it is advisable that takes place before, which must be done in agreement with the Vicar General of Pastoral ”.
THE CHANGES
This is how the priest Claudio Fuenzalida will leave the Jesús Buen Pastor Parish of Santa Cruz and will assume as pastor of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Pichilemu and parish administrator of the San Andrés de Ciruelos Parish. While Father Richard Knuckey will assume as parochial administrator of the Jesus Good Shepherd Parish, of Santa Cruz, without prejudice to his current pastoral functions.
In Nancagua, Father Fernando Miqueles will cease to be parish priest of the Nuestra Señora de La Merced Parish and parish administrator of the San José de Cunaco Parish, to take over as parish priest of the La Santa Cruz de Tinguiririca Parish.
Father Robinson Piña will cease to be parish priest of the San José de Chimbarongo Parish and will take over as parish priest of the Nuestra Señora de La Merced de Nancagua Parish and parish administrator of the San José de Cunaco Parish.
The priest Cristián Catalán will cease to be pastor of the Parish of San Fernando Rey de San Fernando and will take over as pastor of the Parish of San José de Chimbarongo.
Meanwhile, Father Aquiles Correa will cease to be pastor of the Immaculate Conception Parish of La Compañía and will take over as pastor of the Parish of San Fernando Rey de San Fernando.
In the Immaculate Conception Parish of La Compañía, Father Héctor Pulgar will take over, ceasing to be parish priest of the Santo Cura de Ars de Rancagua Parish, a parish taken over by the priest Ángel Rodríguez (Idente Missionary), who in the fulfillment of his mission will help, as parochial vicar of both, Fr. Luis Carlos Riaño Sanabria (Idente Missionary).
Father Hernán Durán will assume as parish priest of the Immaculate Conception of Peumo Parish, for which he will cease to be parish priest of the Divino Maestro Parish of Rancagua and parish administrator of the Santa Gemita Parish.
Divino Maestro Parish will be taken over by Father Mario Mella, who will cease to be the Parish Administrator of the San Agustín de Rancagua Parish.
While Father Ángel Gabriel Fuentes will assume as parish priest of the Santa Gemita de Rancagua Parish, ceasing to be parish priest of the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Merced de Chimbarongo, a parish that the priest Richard Muñoz will also assume as parish administrator of the Parish of Our Lady of Carmen de San Enrique (Chimbarongo).
The priest Sergio Pérez has requested a special permit during 2021. He will serve as chaplain of the Religious Community of San José de la Montaña de Santa Cruz and the apostolic works they carry out, without prejudice to collaborating in nearby parishes.
Similar situation for Father Sergio Farías, who continues with permission, giving special collaboration in the care of the Parish of Santa Rosa de Pelequén or others near his current address. Like the priest Iván Guajardo who continues with the permission he enjoys.
