Le Grenier, a food security organization in Lévis, recently received from the National Bank an amount of $ 40,000 for the fundraising campaign for the relocation of its premises. The long love affair between Le Grenier and the people of the National Bank dates back to the time of the former president, André Berard (Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Canada from September 1990 to March 2002) who had taken the Grenier under his wing. To come back to the relocation of the Food Grenier, scheduled for early 2021, the fundraising campaign with the Lévis business community has raised more than $ 1.4 million so far. In the photo, from left to right: Caroline LaFontaine, director of the Grenier; Maxime Dionne, National Bank ; Yvon Gosselin, president of the CA du Grenier, and Maxime Ross-Gagné, National Bank.

Jean Bedard (photo), from Donnacona, celebrated his 62e birthday yesterday December 17th. Jean decided to give himself a holiday gift by finally taking a well-deserved retirement today after 31 years behind the wheel of a truck. Jean no longer counts the number of kilometers spent behind the wheel. His wife and all the family wish him a happy retirement and will do everything possible so that he does not change his mind in the spring when he feels like going back on the road.
