ABOUT REGISTEEL

It is a Legendary Steel-Type Pokémon, so it would be best to face it with a Fire-Type Pokémon, resistant to its attacks and, at the same time, capable of causing a lot of damage to Registeel. Fighting-Type and even Ground-Type Pokémon can be interesting secondary options.

Entei is one of the most prominent Pokémon to face Registeel, capable of perfectly resisting as long as True Wave or Hyperbeam are not Registeel’s charged attacks. This Pokémon can put a good face on Registeel with any of the attacks and should be one of your first options.
MOLTRES / CHARIZARD

As we know, Charizard is a mini Moltres, so if they can practically do the same and be considered the same Pokémon. Anyway, the stats and his type make Moltres one of the main options against Registeel. It packs a ton of damage and is also resistant to Registeel’s Steel and Fighting attacks.
CHANDELURE

The perfect counter for Registeel is Chandelure, which although it does not have much defense, has resistance and even immunity to all the attacks that Registeel can meet. Plus, it packs a ton of damage per second, so it’ll take down Registeel much faster than most.
HEATRAN

Another almost ideal option, if it weren’t for the possibility that Registeel has Onda Certera and Golpe Roca. If neither of those is a Registeel attack, Heatran is a relentless option, with high defenses and very good attack power to end the threat.
