The NBA reported Wednesday that only one new case of coronavirus was detected in the results of tests conducted on 549 players since Dec. 10.
Now, the league has reported 57 positive results among players since the week preceding the opening of practice camps. Of that number, 48 cases occurred in the first week of analysis, followed by eight the next and one more now.
This means that the positive rate in the league has gone from 8.8 to 15 and less than 0.2%.
Those who test positive are isolated until they are cleared in compliance with the policies agreed by the league and the NBA players union.
