Gold prices in Egypt continue to rise … and increase of 19 pounds per gram

Gold prices in Egypt continued to rise for the third consecutive day, during today’s trading, and the price of a gram increased by 4 pounds at one time, compared to its level yesterday.

Gold prices in the local market rose by 7 pounds yesterday and 8 pounds per gram yesterday, bringing the total increase over the three days to 19 pounds.

Naguib Club, former general secretary of the Gold Merchants Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-gram gold gram rose today to 817 pounds, compared to 813 pounds, yesterday.

The price of an 18-carat gram during today’s trading was about 700 pounds, and the price of a 24-carat gram was about 934 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold was about 6,536 pounds.

Globally, gold prices rose today, Wednesday, by 0.57%, and the price of an ounce rose by about 10.7 dollars compared to the end of trading yesterday, to record 1875.5 dollars at 12:47 pm Cairo time, according to Bloomberg data.
