Several public transportation services suspended in NJ and NY – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW JERSEY – Due to inclement weather NJ Transit announced that all train service will be temporarily suspended throughout the system beginning at 7:30 pm

Also, beginning at 6:00 pm, all bus service to central and northern New Jersey will be temporarily suspended, including bus service to the Trenton area and the Port Authority. There will be no departures from the Port Authority bus terminal after that time.

For its part, the Hudson-Bergen light rail and Newark light rail service will be suspended as of 8:00 pm The River line will continue to operate in service Monday through Friday.

NJ Transit riders will see light rail trains and cars traveling on the tracks during the suspension of service for safety reasons to keep the overhead lines and tracks clear of snow and ice.

For its part, the service at the Port Authority bus terminal was suspended from 6:30 pm due to the winter storm.

NYC Ferry service (not including Staten Island) will end at 6 pm and Citi Bike service will stop one hour later at 7:00 pm
