Pink War; India-Australia first Test today | Sports | Deshabhimani

Adelaide
The real test for India from today. The Test cricket series against Australia begins today after the ODIs and Twenty20 matches. There are four games. Today is the day-night match. It will start at 9.30am in Adelaide. Virat Kohli has announced India’s last XI. Lokesh Rahul and Shubhman Gill will be out. Prithviraj Shah will be the opener along with Mayank Agarwal. India won the Twenty20 after Australia won the three-match ODI series.

The game of pink ball will not be easy for India. As it is a day-night match, the nature of the pitch will change. Batsmen will get preference in the first section. But in the evening it will change. Pacers will get support. If we survive the situation, we can win the title like in 2018. Gill will be replaced by Prithviraj Shah as the opener. Kohli said that Prithviraj was considered because of his experience. Along with Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane will be strong midfielders. Jaspreet Bumra and Mohammad Shami will lead the pace team.

Australia, led by Tim Payne, have not announced their final squad. Their strengths are Steve Smith and Marnus Labushein. The absence of the injured David Warner will be a setback.

India: Mayank, Prithviraj, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Vihari, Saha, Ashwin, Shami, Bumra, Umesh Yadav.
Australia (probables team): Payne, Burns, Cameron Green, Smith, Labushen, Wade, Lyon, Sweepson, Hazlewood, Henriques, Cummins.
