Avezzano. The Nas carabinieri arrive at the Avezzano hospital. The health facility, at the center of controversy due to the situation of extreme difficulty in which it finds itself, especially due to the lack of beds and staff, was visited by the antisophistication department of Pescara.
The Nas have arrived in the hospital yesterday morning they checked several departments including the emergency room. It is not the first time that checks of the antisophistication core have been performed. Numerous complaints about unclear situations, also highlighted by national Rai and Mediaset TV. Local newspapers also denounced numerous extreme situations. Against them, not against the national networks, however, complaints were presented by the health director of the ASL, Roberto Testa.
Other infections in the hospital. These are personal Healthcare personnel. In recent days, new infections have occurred among the emergency room staff. Since the beginning of the second wave, according to the unions, more than 120 health workers have been infected.
The wards are full. The infectious disease ward has been sold out for weeks now and the 31 seats are all full. Almost in the same conditions the covid medical department where a few hours ago there were 24 out of 26 beds occupied. But the situation is evolving. Breathe in the gray zone, where there are 11 out of 12 places available but patients keep arriving. This is the area that prevents those patients who test negative for the swab, but who have symptoms compatible with Coronavirus infection, from being infected due to hospitalizations in insufficiently protected wards.
The inspectors they have arrived. In fact, checks have been arranged by inspectors of the regional Health Department. But the provision came from the Region itself. In recent days, the honorable Stefania Pezzopane had asked Minister Speranza with a parliamentary question for an inspection, but not by the Region itself but by the ministerial inspectors, stressing that he had little faith in internal inspections.
