Summary of Responsibilities:
An Internship within our Internal Controls department is a great opportunity for individuals seeking a future career in internal or external audit functions to gain an understanding of the various phases of the audit process from risk assessment and planning to the evaluation and testing of controls.
This 2021 Summer Internship is for undergraduate or graduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2021 and May 2022.

Essential Functions:
The Internal Controls Intern will be a key member of the organization whose principal focus is to:
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products and capabilities, operations and financial performance
- Participate in planning and risk assessment exercises to understand the risks within various business processes
- Attend walkthroughs and under the supervision of a senior associate or manager document results of design assessments
- Prepare workpapers documenting the results of operating effectiveness tests for the areas assigned for testing
- Assist in testing of key reports to ensure information used in the execution of key controls is both complete and accurate
- Participate in close out meetings with various lines of business in order to communicate the results of controls testing
- Actively participate in San US sponsored intern activities
Requirements:
- Currently an undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university
- Expected to graduate between December 2021 – May 2022
- Cumulative GPA is 3.25 or above
- Preferably majoring in Accounting, Information Systems or related business field
- Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage in their leadership style
- Crisp communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently and effectively with people at all levels
- Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges
- Ability to multi-task as required
- Ability to work independently on special projects
Working Conditions:
- Shifts and/or schedules may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs
- Travel to multiple facilities may be required
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard
- Corporate / satellite office role
- Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs
