Something has gone terribly wrong with D.Va in the latest Overwatch update to the point that Blizzard has temporarily removed her from the game.

Overwatch just kicked off its Winter Wonderland event, but at least one of its heroes won’t be out playing for a while. On Tuesday afternoon, the Blizzard team identified a critical issue with D.Va. It’s so critical, in fact, that it has been completely disabled from the game, at least temporarily.
Here’s the post from Community Manager Josh Nason on the Blizzard forums:
We have identified a critical issue with D.Va in today’s patch. We have temporarily disabled D.Va from playing in all game modes until a fix has been identified. We will continue when we have implemented a solution!
The nature of D.Va’s bug was not disclosed and a reading of Blizzard forums, as well as social media, does not yield any further information. So the nature of D.Va’s issue appears to be a mystery, albeit serious enough for Blizzard to remove her entirely from the game for now. The Dot Esports team later pointed to the issue as an invincibility bug, where D.Va won’t be ejected from her mech suit even after hitting zero. It is currently not available to select from on any of the Overwatch platforms.
Earlier today, Blizzard kicked off the Overwatch Winter Wonderland event. It is scheduled to run from now until January 5. We’ll keep an eye on this story as it unfolds, so watch this space as we’ll update this post when D.Va is ready to re-launch.
