This morning, the temperature in Seoseok-myeon, Hongcheon, dropped to -20.6 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the country, and Seoul also recorded the lowest -9.7 degrees Celsius this winter.

In particular, due to the cold wind, the sensory temperature in the Gangwon-san region dropped to around -30 degrees Celsius, and the temperature in the central region including Seoul fell to around -15 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave news has been expanded and reinforced.

A cold wave warning has been issued in Gangwon Yeongseo and mountain areas, northern Gyeonggi, northern Chungbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk, while cold wave warnings are in effect in Seoul and other Gyeonggi provinces, northern Chungcheongbuk-do, and eastern Jeollabuk-do.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that the temperature of the cold wave will become stronger and stronger tomorrow, as the temperature in Seoul will drop to -10 degrees and the day after tomorrow will drop to -11 degrees.

Snow is falling all over the southern regions amid the bitter cold.

Today, 8cm of snow fell on Muan, Jeollanam-do, 9.7cm of Mt. Halla, and 23cm of heavy snow fell on Ulleungdo.

The Meteorological Administration demanded that there will be no damage, saying that it will fall 15cm in the west coast of Honam and Jeju Island, 7cm in Haenam and western Honam in South Chungcheong Province, and up to 3cm in inland Chungnam until the day after tomorrow.
