Promipyme will grant RD $ 1,000 million in loans every month starting in January

The National Council for the Promotion and Support of Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (PROMIPYME) reported that every month from January it will grant RD $ 1 billion in loans.

This was reported by Porfirio Peralta, director of PROMIPYME, during a loan delivery in La Romana, where he also expressed that the goal of President Luis Abinader is to place 12 billion pesos at the national level in 2021.

“I want to motivate the province of La Romana to approach PROMIPYME because we have goals that we must meet and next year, God willing, we will be starting a year with a placement of one billion pesos in January, which means that we are going to have many larger clients who have access to the funds of the institution that I direct, ”said Peralta.

Peralta valued as positive that of the 191 loans granted by PROMIPYME in La Romana for a value of 23 million pesos, 133 correspond to women and 58 clients were men. Of these, 139 belong to the commercial sector, 18 people to the industrial sector and the rest to other sectors.

“We have a great commitment to women. They are the ones that are undertaking projects the most and we are going to accompany them throughout the process, ”said Peralta.

Regarding the industrial sector, made up of bakeries, furniture, clothing, upholstery factories and all those that transform raw materials into finished products, Peralta urged them to approach PROMIPYME to take advantage of these resources and strengthen their companies.

“We are willing to help them, not only in lending them money, but also to accompany them in technical assistance through the National Institute of Professional Technical Training (INFOTEP), an institution that offers us its technicians to advise them with the aim of helping them develop their business for free. Take advantage of this opportunity ”, highlighted the director of PROMIPYME.

While Jackeline Fernández, governor of the province, valued these loans as a very positive measure for the province, since it needed this boost and President Luis Abinaer, in the person of Porfirio Peralta, has understood it and that helping hand it came at the best time.

“Porfirio told me that he would come with his team to bring many loans to this province and, furthermore, that he had faith that they will continue to have more entrepreneurs in the province of La Romana. Yokasta Polonia, daughter of Robert Rafael Polonia Chaplain, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, since her father was not present, she received RD $ 5 million in loan on behalf of her father, thanking the support they found from PROMIPYME, which will serve them to increase their working capital and encouraged entrepreneurs to approach institutions like this so that they also have the opportunity to find support.

Porfirio Peralta also made a tour of the INFOTEP workshops in this province, highlighting the value that this institution represents for youth to learn a trade and then start a business or be called by any company to work.

Likewise, the director of PROMIPYME and the mayor of Caleta, Eduardo Kerry, toured part of the businesses located in the Villa Panty sector, where there is a large market for entrepreneurs, for which they ordered executives from the institution he directs to make an evaluation about people who need a loan.
