Korean Air, who was missing Andres Vijena, broke KB Insurance Insurance and continued its high-flying flight with four consecutive victories, with Lim Dong-hyuk’s success.
Korean Air won the match against KB Sonbo in the 3rd round of the 2020-21 Dodram V-League held at the Uijeongbu Gymnasium, Gyeonggi-do, with a set score of 3-2 (25-21 25-27 25-23 30-32 15-10).
Korean Air, who won 11 wins and 4 losses (30 points) with 4 consecutive wins, retained the first place by beating second place KB Insurance (29 points, 10 wins and 5 losses). Korean Air, who lost to KB in the first and second rounds, won their first win in the third round. KB is the first two consecutive losses of the season.
In Korean Air, Viena fell due to a knee injury, but Lim Dong-hyuk scored 30 points and Jung Ji-seok scored 22 points. On the other hand, in KB, Keita scored 48 points, but the help of the rest of the players was disappointing.
Korean Air was most effective in shaking KB’s receive line with Kang Sub in the early game. KB made a change to the lineup by sending out Jeong Dong-geun instead of left Kim Dong-min and rookie Kim Do-hoon instead of Libero Kwak Dong-hyuk as a starting point, but was shaken by Korean Air’s serve.
Korean Air gained momentum by scoring consecutive scores of opponents Bum-sil, Jung Ji-seok and Kwak Seung-seok in the first set 15-14. In 23-20, he won the first set with Keita’s attack room following Jin Seong-tae’s sub ace.
Then, KB also balanced the firepower of Keita, who scored 13 points alone in the second set. KB concentrated on the 2nd set 24-25, but succeeded in a reversal with Kim Jung-ho and Keita scoring, and Jung Dong-geun’s blocking took the second set.
Korean Air went ahead again with Lim Dong-hyuk’s big success in the 3rd set. In 24-23, he took the lead with Lim Dong-hyuk’s precious spike.
However, KB did not collapse as it is. At the end of the 4th set, thanks to Keita’s tremendous performance, he captured the game at 32-30 and led the game to the final 5th set.
Korean Air was the one who laughed after a full-set fight.
Korean Air defended the lead with Lim Dong-hyuk’s back attack in 6-5, and immediately blasted Jung Ji-seok’s quick open to catch the victory. Keita’s Spike was also off the court, leading 9-5.
Korean Air virtually split the game by running to 12-7 with Jung Ji-seok’s consecutive spikes, and smashed the game with the opponent’s sub room at 14-10 match points.
