Arsenal’s Invincibles were quite good, Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp is not doing so bad either, but it is the team that won the Manchester United treble the best of all.
This is the opinion of legendary commentator Peter Drury, who in his excellent career has seen his fair share of elite teams.
Drury has seen players like Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal have their heyday
I wanted to point out that we are in an age where two great teams are reaching incredible heights in the Premier League: Manchester City and Liverpool.
Drury, who will return to the Amazon Prime Video comment booth, told talkSPORT.com: “Manchester City and Liverpool in the last two or three years have been extraordinary teams to the point where we have scored 98, 99, 100 points. in the Premier League for granted. We shouldn’t take that for granted, that’s extraordinary.
“The football that Manchester City were playing when they hit 100 points week after week after week was just incredible and Liverpool in their title year week after week played incredible things, so none of that should be forgotten.”

And this current Liverpool is also being written in greatness
Going back a bit, Drury also paid tribute to Arsenal’s Invincibles, who were incredibly undefeated throughout the 2003/04 league season, something no other English team has ever accomplished.
He has also seen great teams off the British shores, Real Madrid’s Galacticos and AC Milan when Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko were at the peak of their powers are also noteworthy for Drury.
But the best team he has seen during his commentary career is Manchester United and their impressive 1998/99 campaign, which saw them win the Premier League, FA Cup and the Champions League that ensures it.

Many English teams have tried but failed to match Manchester United’s treble campaign and that is why they lock it up for Drury
After careful deliberation, Drury added: “The Invincibles were pretty good! Bergkamp, Henry and all that group, they were a beautiful team.
“Manchester United in the late 90s and early 2000s was a convincing team, there is the Milan team of Shevchenko and Kaká, the Real Madrid Galacticos that included David Beckham, Zidane, Roberto Carlos.
“The French team that won the World Cup and Euro 2000.
“But you know what? Still, nobody has done what Manchester United did in 1999, so until someone does, I would say that in my professional career, you would have to say that they are the most successful team.
Amazon Prime Video will stream 23 Premier League matches this December, including two full rounds of matches from December 15-17 and December 28-30, with matches such as Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers v Chelsea and Everton v Manchester City.
