William and Catherine grateful for long train journey

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited several cities during the train journey, including Manchester and Cardiff. During the ride, which was 2000 kilometers long, the couple visited various agencies and organizations. There, the prince and his wife talked to people about, among other things, the consequences of the corona crisis. The emphasis was also on thanking people who put in the extra effort on the front line.

The train journey was not received positively everywhere. For example, Vaughan Gething, the Welsh health minister, criticized the ride. He did not think the trip was a smart one, as corona infections in Great Britain are rising sharply. “I’d rather no one visit unnecessarily anywhere,” said Gething on Thursday.
