Real Madrid will miss out on the 2020 elections for world footballer, world goalkeeper and world coach. Sergio Ramos, Thibaut Courtois and Zinedine Zidane did not make it into the top three in their categories. This was announced by the worldfootball association FIFA on Friday, before the winners will be chosen on Thursday at the virtual “The Best” gala from Zurich.
The World Footballer Award is made by Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) and Robert Lewandowski (FC Bayern Munich), although the Polish striker should have particularly good cards after the German record champions triple win. The best keeper is Manuel Neuer (FC Bayern Munich), Jan Oblak (Atlético Madrid) or Alisson Becker (FC Liverpool), the coaching award goes to Hansi Flick (FC Bayern Munich), Jürgen Klopp (FC Liverpool) or Marcelo Bielsa (Leeds United).
