While Amplitude surprised us with their new project Endless Dungeon, their other game Humankind announces a final date and a new Open Dev, all accompanied by a nice trailer.
Lucy making old bones
Humankind is 4X which will allow us to create our own story through the ages, a concept perfectly illustrated by this new video called “Lucy”. A nice reference that shows us the history that could have been forged by the fossil found in Ethiopia in the 70s.
Amplitude also announced a new Open Dev also bearing this name. From December 15 to 28, players who pre-ordered the game on Steam will be able to play from the Neolithic era until the 18th century (for 140 turns) via a scenario described as “richer and more complete” by the French developers. Among the novelties compared to the previous Open Dev, we will therefore have new choices among 40 cultures, more advanced battles including naval battles, and diplomacy with 7 AI.
For those who would like to play it anyway without necessarily having pre-ordered, Twitch Drops can give you an access key if you are lucky.
Humankind will be released on April 22, 2021 on PC via Steam, Stadia, and Epic Games Stores. Indeed, we now have the exact date even if we already knew that it would be released during the month of April.
