Since this morning, a shower of messages has been reaching the editorial staff of RTLinfo.be via our orange button Alert us, telling us about problems with Messenger messaging. In fact, several of the world’s most popular social media apps are affected including Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.
According to the reference site in terms of failure, Down Detector, the problems started around 8 a.m. and mainly affect users in Europe, Western Europe and the UK.
Although the origin of this failure remains uncertain, Internet users have reported various problems: 80% said they were not receiving messages, while 20% could not connect.
A spokesperson for the Facebook company told the Daily Mirror: “We know some people have difficulty messaging on Messenger, Instagram and Workplace Chat. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible. “
Unsurprisingly, several frustrated users have taken to Twitter to question what’s going on and talk about this outage.
